Napoleon Hill is well known as the originator of private development. His influential books and ideas have helped countless people to attain their own goals for decades now. Napoleon Hill dedicated twenty-five years of his life researching the why of individuals failure. From the brilliant thoughts and research of one of America’s greatest self-help authors, here are seventeen Napoleon Hill quotes to inspire you to consider greatness…

I think twice before I talk, because your words can plant the seed of success or failure in my mind. Napoleon Hill said,”I have learned that what a man can do, that a person can accomplish.” Never underestimate the power of the spoken word, particularly when it comes to attaining your goals. Napoleon Hill said,”A man with the skill to operate successfully and economically, but who doesn’t expect to be prosperous, is like a man with a wheel who does not know how to use his tool; he believes but doesn’t do.”

I think twice before I do, because only your mind on a definite goal and actions can prepare you for it and set you free. Napoleon Hill said,”You must be assured that the power of thought and of action are combined, and that these two are inseparable.” The brain controls your body and spirit, your spirit controls your mind. Napoleon Hill said,”A man is but the product of his thoughts what he’s done, and the man of actions is but the consequence of his ideas, preparations, and efforts.”

If you can not do great things in a great way, do small things in a great way. Napoleon Hill wrote,”I often hear it said, don’t go beyond your abilities. Nothing can be further from the truth. You may reach your targets but do not go beyond your attainments.”

Napoleon Hill said,”A man’s work is not done when his work is finished; a man’s job is begun then and continued ” Would you like your dreams, desires, and goals to be realized? Then first comes thought, then there’s an implementation, then there is measuring, and then there’s seeing the end results. Napoleon Hill wrote,”First come the thoughts, then come the implementation, then are the measures, and last but not least will be the joy of this outcome.”

Napoleon Hill also stated,”The limits of the human mind are permeable; neither can they be hidden, although the soul may escape for some time the scrutiny of the ordinary person.” Do not put forth your goals, keep them within your reach, for when you have achieved them you will be able to see and know their greatness. If you can not accomplish anything in your life by the power of your will alone, then it isn’t within the reach of your power, for will is only an outward form of the inside force that moves outwards toward its goal.

Napoleon Hill also stated,”If you expect to climb to the peak of the mountain by keeping steadily in place, you will fail; continue moving, and before you know it you will be standing at the top with the mountain at your back.” Both poverty and riches are the offspring of the same mind, the mind which think a goal is a dream with a physical goal, and that when that goal is achieved there’s not any need to keep on working to achieve it. A positive mind sees a way it can turn into a success, and a negative mind looks for all the reasons why it can not or won’t.

Napoleon Hill was right about many things, and in his book Think and Grow Rich, he explained why there are no limitations to the mind except those we construct. That’s why he said,”The greatest discovery of my generation is that a man can alter his life by changing the thought which he receives from his environment.” Thus, if you believe there aren’t any reasons why you can’t become a success and poverty and riches will not stop flowing, then you are either unaware of them, or you’re creating them yourself. You can make a difference in this world and take control of your own destiny.
